Terms and Conditions

1. The service

Candidate is a platform where job seekers build a Resume/CV, find jobs and apply for them, and where approved employers ("job creators") post jobs, review applicants, shortlist them and schedule interviews.

Candidate only connects people. We are not the employer, we are not a recruitment agency, and we do not guarantee that you will get a job or find the right candidate.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• The information you give must be true, accurate and kept up to date.
• You are responsible for everything done with your account. Keep your sign-in details private.
• One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else without their permission.

3. Job seekers

• Your Resume/CV must describe your real experience, education and skills.
• When you apply for a job, you allow the employer who posted it to see your profile and Resume/CV.
• Answer interview invitations honestly and tell the employer if you can no longer attend.

4. Employers (job creators)

• To post jobs you must apply to become a job creator. Candidate reviews each application and can approve or decline it.
• Jobs must be real, open positions, with an accurate title, description, requirements, location and salary.
• Candidate reviews job posts and can decline, hide or remove a job that breaks these terms.
• Applicant information may only be used to recruit for the job the person applied for. Do not share it, sell it or contact applicants for anything else.
• Never ask applicants to pay to apply, to be interviewed or to be hired.
• Follow Rwandan labour law and treat every applicant fairly, without discrimination.

5. What is not allowed

• Posting false, misleading or fraudulent jobs or profiles.
• Harassing, threatening or discriminating against other users.
• Uploading content that is illegal, offensive, or that belongs to someone else without permission.
• Collecting other users’ information, sending spam, or using the platform for advertising.
• Trying to break, overload or get unauthorized access to the platform, or using bots to copy its content.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you add to Candidate, such as your Resume/CV or your job posts. You allow us to store and show it on the platform as needed to provide the service. You confirm you have the right to share it.

The Candidate name, logo, design and software belong to Candidate and may not be copied without permission.

7. Suspension and closing your account

We can suspend or close an account, or remove content, if it breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. You can stop using Candidate at any time and ask us to delete your account.

8. Availability

We work to keep Candidate available and correct, but the platform is provided "as is". It may sometimes be unavailable, change, or contain mistakes.

9. Responsibility

Jobs and profiles are written by users, not by Candidate. Check the details yourself before you accept a job or hire someone. As far as the law allows, Candidate is not responsible for decisions, agreements or losses between job seekers and employers.

10. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Candidate changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use Candidate after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda.
